Robi Harrison was born January 7th 1979 in Huntington, Long Island, New York the second child of Maryanne and James Harrison, his older brother Skylar was 16 months prior to him. He was a rambunctious child, always causing some sort of mischievous action. His mother was a make-up artist and his father owned a Instrument shop where you could buy, sell and trade instruments as well as get them repaired.
When Robi was in high school he worked part time at a slaughter house working with their clean up crew. He knew that he didn't want to be a blue collar worker his entire life. He had dreams, goals, ambitions of becoming a rock star especially after he watched a live performance by Soundgarden and met Chris Cornell who told him not to give up his dream. He was just 14 years old when he formed his first band with a couple of his friends around the neighborhood.
He chose to follow his heart instead of his head and ended up in Louisiana, he hit up a few bars and performed during their amateur nights but just couldn't cut it as well as he wanted to. He continued trying to pursue his dream no matter what, finding menial jobs to make ends meet.
Finally, he gave in a little more and copped out, he got a hold of his father and set up a chain store in Louisiana. If he wasn't going to make it as a musician, why not work for musicians.
